Getting here doesn’t have to be an adventure

I hope by now you’re thinking about all of the activities and adventures you can explore at the Outdoor Adventure Expo at Cherry Creek State Park on September 23-24.

For the dreamers and doers out there, you may be already be wondering whether to start your day on a stand-up paddleboard or checking out the latest OHVs. But the more practical and maybe a little pessimistic among you might be thinking: “Hmmm. Popular park, close to Denver, on the weekend, with free admission - getting there is going to be more of a zoo than a state park.”

No need to worry, we’ve thought of everything to keep your adventure to the Expo!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be running a free shuttle from the RTD Nine Mile Station right into the park from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Take the H or R lines to Nine Mile Station, or ride one of several available bus routes - we want you to spend less time parking and more time playing!

Or, if you’d rather start your adventures early, grab your bike and hop on the Cherry Creek Trail or use COTREX to explore the various trails leading into the park. We’ll have plenty of bike storage on site to let you experience something new at the expo once you’ve arrived.

It’s easy to get to the Outdoor Adventure Expo - especially if you hit the rails or the trails. With areas dedicated to water sports, shooting sports, and outdoor activities like rock climbing and hunting, your only worry should be if you can fit everything in over two days!
